RASHAD FOUNDATION Education that opens pathways to opportunity. Founding overview | 4 October 2026 OUR PURPOSE Rashad Foundation is being developed to expand access to meaningful education and practical skills, strengthen educators and local institutions, and help people facing exclusion build pathways to opportunity. Its priorities include barriers associated with conflict, poverty, displacement, gender inequality and fragile education systems. OUR APPROACH The Rashad RISE Framework brings together four commitments: Reach: remove barriers to meaningful participation. Inspire: support learning goals, agency and possibility. Strengthen: build practical teaching and institutional capacity. Evaluate: learn from evidence and improve before expanding. OUR PROPOSED FIRST CHAPTER The Yemen Teacher Development Initiative would support 30–50 adult English language teachers through 6–8 weeks of practical professional development. The current design baseline is eight weeks, with a 40-person budgeting scenario. These are proposed targets, not completed results. The learning model combines workshops, mentoring, peer feedback, adaptable resources and classroom practice, with low-bandwidth alternatives. A suitable local institution or educator network would help shape the needs assessment, recruitment, scheduling and contextual relevance. The pilot would assess participation, changes in teaching tasks and classroom application at follow-up. A public learning report would explain the findings, costs, missing data and limitations. This first pilot cannot establish causal student learning or employment impact. WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE Universities and education partners: curriculum advice, facilitation, mentoring and evaluation. Yemen-based institutions and educators: local priorities, teacher access, safe participation and contextual adaptation. Prospective advisors and founding supporters: governance, finance, safeguarding, philanthropy and international operations. For an initial discussion, share your relevant experience, a practical contribution you could make, your availability and any institutional approvals or conflicts to consider. Use your existing introduction to the founding team while a public inquiry route is being established. CURRENT STATUS Rashad Foundation remains in the planning stage. Incorporation, an EIN, board appointments and federal tax-exempt recognition are not represented as completed. No partnerships, funding commitments or program results are claimed. Recruitment has not opened, and this website does not accept donations or applications. Launch depends on legal and governance readiness, a vetted local partner, a viable banking route, funding, trained personnel, safeguarding and privacy arrangements. The longer-term ambition is international; expansion will depend on local needs, evidence, capacity and funding. This overview describes a founding proposal. It is not legal or tax advice or a commitment to deliver a program on a specific date.
